Water tests in Bloomfield come back under lead standard, city plans to do more testing

Newark’s lead crisis has set off alarms in neighboring towns that draw their water from the same troubled treatment plant that’s caused contaminates from old pipes and plumbing to leach into drinking water. Senior Correspondent Brenda Flanagan, ahead of a public forum, spoke with the Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia, who said initial tests conducted in Bloomfield had come back under the federal lead standard and the city plans to do more testing.
