Watchdog leader says review board can stop ‘George Floyd’ incidents

Two Newark police officers are on administrative leave after allegedly shutting off their dashboard cameras to cover up a car chase. That incident is one reason Rick Robinson, the chairman of the city’s Civilian Complaint Review Board, says the board needs more authority. In his first media interview, Robinson tells NJTV News Correspondent Michael Hill the board is gearing up to investigate complaints against officers and recommend discipline despite a recent Supreme Court ruling limiting their power.
