President Donald Trump has talked about stationing law enforcement personnel at polling places on Election Day. Some see that as an attempt to intimidate voters. In New Jersey, it harkens back to Election Day 1981, when Republicans fielded something called the National Ballot Security Task Force, made up largely of off-duty police.
