Violence intervention programs inside NJ hospitals show promise

State health experts are looking to stem violence in a new and, perhaps less conventional location — inside hospitals. Programs linked to medical systems helping victims of traumatic injuries have shown early promise.

Now, the state hopes to build on that success with the help of millions of dollars in funding set aside earlier this year. Is it working?
