Some resist Newark’s 10-day COVID-19 lockdown

The city’s COVID-19 positivity rates dropped over the past week from 21% to 16.5%

Newark is halfway through the city’s self-imposed 10-day lockdown as it continues to lead the state with new reported COVID-19 infections. Newark cited nine restaurants at the weekend for issues like over-crowding and wait staff not wearing masks, violations of statewide restrictions on the conduct of business.
