Rutgers men’s basketball in NCAA tournament for first time in 30 years

Rutgers fans have reason to celebrate. For the first time in 30 years, the men’s basketball team is headed to the NCAA tournament. The Scarlet Knights earned a 10-seed and will play seventh-seeded Clemson this Friday in Indianapolis.

Last year’s tournament was canceled due to COVID-19. Head coach Steve Pikiell says he’s proud of his team for navigating the challenges of COVID-19 and resurrecting the basketball program.
