Pop-up vaccination site focuses on people with disabilities

A pop-up COVID-19 vaccination site was set up at a church in Newark to reach residents with disabilities; Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines were both available. Although the event focused on residents with special needs, it was open to everyone in the city.

In another effort to boost vaccination rates, starting Tuesday the FEMA-run site at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark will offer walk-in vaccinations every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
