Passaic mayor gives residents more pandemic relief

At times during the coronavirus pandemic, thousands of residents lined up for boxes of fresh food at City Hall in Passaic or at local churches. Passaic County’s unemployment rate is hovering around 10%, well above the state’s average.

In the city, where close to 80% of residents live in apartments, many are having trouble paying rent. The mayor says it’s time to do more to help. Correspondent Leah Mishkin reports.
