Parent burnout amid new school year, ongoing stress of pandemic

An interview with clinical psychologist Dr. Ashurina Ream

We’re just days into the new school year and already some parents, particularly those of the youngest students, are reporting they’re burned out and exhausted by the shifting demands of parenting along with the economic hardship and the uncertainty of continuing COVID-19 outbreaks during the pandemic.

In an interview with NJ Spotlight News, clinical psychologist Dr. Ashurina Ream explains that a lot of families don’t feel they have the right resources to cope with the changing situation around them.
