Six months into the coronavirus pandemic, Gov. Phil Murphy has extended the public health emergency for another 30 days for the seventh time. On Friday, health officials warned of rising coronavirus cases in several New Jersey counties, but notably Ocean and Monmouth. Lakewood makes up half of the daily cases for Ocean County.

Statewide there are 612 new positive tests for a cumulative total of 202,100. With seven new deaths, there are now 16,097 total fatalities. The rate of transmission remains steady at 1.15.
