NJ-STEP program helps incarcerated students get degrees

Among the new college graduates in New Jersey this month are more than a dozen armed with bachelor’s and associate degrees through their participation in the NJ-STEP program. These graduates, with majors ranging psychology to social work, earned their diplomas while living out sentences behind prison walls.
