It was one week ago today that the remnants of Hurricane Ida brought fierce storms, tornadoes and severe flooding to the state. Four people remain missing after the storm that left 27 residents dead.

Thursday, officials announced 1,733 positive cases and 17 new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 966,946 cases in the state and 27,024 confirmed and probable deaths.
