There are new signs that a possible second wave of COVID-19 could be close. Cases are trending in the wrong direction, according to the Murphy administration. Thursday the state saw the largest single-day increase since May.

Friday the Health Department is reporting 881 new cases. Hospitalizations are also on the rise for nearly a week straight signaling that the severity of infections is growing as well. The statewide cumulative total stands at 212,013 with six new deaths and 16,164 confirmed and probable fatalities.
