Gov. Phil Murphy is quarantining after learning he was in close contact this weekend with a senior staffer who recently tested positive for the coronavirus.

For the fourth day in a row, the state is again reporting more than a thousand new positive tests. It pushes the cumulative total to 223,223 with 18 additional deaths and 16,245 total lives lost.

With cases on the rise, Murphy has added Arizona and Maryland to the state’s coronavirus quarantine travel advisory list. That brings the total to 39 states and territories from which travelers should self-isolate for 14 days.
