The CDC says don’t travel this Thanksgiving because of the worsening coronavirus. It’s no different in New Jersey where Gov. Phil Murphy said on MSNBC, “The next two or three months are going to be brutal, in New Jersey and I believe in America.”
Thursday the state is reporting another day with more than 4,000 new positive test results. The 4,320 new cases bring the statewide cumulative total to 293,744. The state also reports 34 more confirmed COVID-19 fatalities, putting the total confirmed and probable deaths at 16,689.
The situation in New Jersey’s hospitals is getting worse. As of Wednesday night, 2,471 patients were admitted for COVID-19 related illness. More than 450 of those patients were in ICUs and 216 on ventilators.
