NJ Spotlight News: May 6, 2021

In just 24 hours the state will begin easing COVID-19 restrictions and lifting the capacity limits on indoor and outdoor gatherings. The decision was moved forward three days ahead of schedule due to progress in fighting the latest wave of the coronavirus.

Thursday, officials announced 1,564 new, positive cases and 34 deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 878,892 cases in the state and 25,740 confirmed and probable deaths.
