Gov. Phil Murphy on Monday said, “we have this virus on the run,” and signed an executive order eliminating the mandate to wear masks outside. Despite the CDC’s guidance, he wants masks worn indoors, saying, “while we have made tremendous progress, we aren’t out of the woods yet.”
Starting with the new school year next fall, all children will be back in the classroom. Remote learning will not be an option for school districts. Murphy also lifted New Jersey’s travel advisory. Out-of-state travelers coming to New Jersey will no longer be required to quarantine, nor will New Jerseyans returning home from trips.
