An unexpected turn of events with AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine. New reports say the drugmaker may have used “outdated and potentially misleading” data when it touted the efficacy of its doses. An independent federal panel that polices the integrity of clinical trials flagged the information just hours after the company said its COVID-19 vaccine was 79% effective against the virus and showed no major side effects.

Monday, officials announced 3,429 new, positive cases and 61 deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 770,860 cases in the state and 24,242 confirmed and probable deaths. In New Jersey, 1,259,736 residents have been fully immunized against COVID-19.
