There are more calls to remove President Donald Trump from office in the wake of the violent physical attack on the nation’s capital. The insurrection will be remembered as one of the darkest days in American history.

The state’s massive coronavirus vaccine program continues to roll out. Thursday, police and firefighters became eligible to get their first dose of the immunization.

Health leaders reported a new single-day record with 6,314 positive COVID-19 test results. That pushes the cumulative statewide total to 510,839. With another 123 deaths, the state now has 19,646 confirmed and probable fatalities. Hospitalizations declined slightly for the first time in the new year.
