Gov. Phil Murphy is voluntarily quarantining after learning that a member of his family tested positive for the coronavirus. Murphy tested negative earlier Wednesday, but is cancelling all in-person events anyway. While a number of state officials have started getting vaccinated, the governor has not.

Wednesday another 3,740 new, positive COVID-19 cases were reported. Statewide the total of positive cases since the start of the pandemic is 653,955. Another 88 deaths brings the total number of confirmed and probable deaths to 22,250. Hospitalizations are at 2,786.
