The state continues marching toward an aggressive goal of vaccinating 70% of adults by June, but there’s a long way to go.
As of Wednesday morning, the state Department of Health says nearly 63,000 New Jersey residents in phase 1A have been inoculated. The governor says the program is rolling out as expected despite a supply-demand imbalance from the federal government.
The state is reporting another 4,664 confirmed positive cases of the virus, with 472,264 total cases in the state. With an additional 99 deaths, there are now 18,952 confirmed and probable fatalities. Hospitalization rates are of concern with 3,727 patients across the state with complications caused by COVID-19.
