The temporary halt on Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine may last up to 10 days after a panel of expert advisers at the CDC determined they need more time to investigate the link to a rare but dangerous blood-clotting disorder. It’s still unclear just what effect that decision will have on the widespread rollout. The one-shot vaccine was considered key to immunizing homebound and hard-to-reach communities.

Thursday, officials announced 3,411 new, positive cases and 47 new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 848,566 cases in the state and 25,053 confirmed and probable deaths.
