NJ senator’s Twitter account reinstated after he deleted vaccine comment

Sen. Declan O’Scanlon had questioned vaccine mandates

Republican state senator Declan O’Scanlon’s Twitter account was suspended over the weekend for a tweet that contended COVID-19 has been “crushed” due to natural immunity and voluntary vaccinations, and for those reasons questioned why anyone should be compelled to get vaccinated against the disease.

O’Scanlon (R-Monmouth) is vaccinated and has worked to boost vaccine rates in his county. Twitter reinstated his account after he removed the tweet. Now he is calling for an apology from the social media giant as Republicans called it suppression of free speech.
