NJ health officials: Flu is larger threat to NJ population than coronavirus

The coronavirus is still spreading, but right now the number of coronavirus patients is dwarfed by the number of patients suffering with the flu. Flu season’s hit hard so in New Jersey that some hospitals are restricting visitors and the New Jersey Department of Health’s issuing warnings.

New Jersey’s Poison Control Center has issuing warnings to those who are sick and trying to treat their own symptoms. The warning comes after the center has seen an uptick in calls from people who have overused, misused and/or abused over-the-counter flu and cold medicines.
