Kennedy edges Van Drew in 2nd District poll as debate nears

Ahead of Thursday's debate, race between the major party candidates tightens

In South Jersey, the battle between Democrat Amy Kennedy and former Democrat turned Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew is now considered a toss-up by the Cook Political Report. The candidates have their work cut out for them in a district that has been generally more conservative than the rest of New Jersey. Kennedy and Van Drew face each other Thursday in a debate sponsored by NJTV and the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton University. Senior Correspondent David Cruz reports.
