Renewed restrictions are being instituted in Newark as the city’s COVID-19 positivity rate remains one of the highest in the state. Mayor Ras Baraka, who says people in some Newark communities are more likely to catch COVID-19 than anybody else and are more likely to die, is reimposing nightly curfews.
