New Jersey’s losing out on federal funds

A new report says New Jersey is giving a lot more money to the federal government than it is getting back. The report, from New York State’s comptroller, found that New Jersey received 79 cents for every one dollar paid in federal taxes. That’s the lowest amount among 50 states.

New trade deals announced this week in Washington DC are getting some criticism here at home.

United Airlines is launching shuttle service from Newark Airport to Washington beginning in March.

And reports say Pier 1’s planned store closings will include about a dozen in New Jersey.
