New COVID-19 drug therapy could speed recovery, help stop spread

Although it abandoned its own efforts to develop a coronavirus vaccine and instead is helping Johnson & Johnson produce theirs, New Jersey-based drugmaker Merck is testing therapeutics and medications to treat the disease.

The pharmaceutical company says it has developed a potential breakthrough drug, shown to quickly reduce infection. Senior Correspondent Brenda Flanagan reports.
