‘Never going back to the pre-pandemic world’

According to FDU poll, 26% of NJ workers who are still at home say they won’t ever go back to the workplace full-time

“We are never going back to the pre-pandemic world,” said Dan Cassino, Executive Director of the FDU Poll. According to a recent FDU survey, 26% of those who are working from home said they won’t ever go back full-time while 27% have already returned to the workplace and 28% will work a hybrid schedule.

That could hike NJ Transit fares, because fewer riders means a cut in the ticket revenues that pay the agency’s bills. Most businesses are adapting to the new hybrid workforce, but some big banks want their staff back in the office. And Big Tech companies like Facebook, Google and Microsoft could trim the salaries of employees who won’t return to their cubicles.
