NAACP threatens court action over makeup of Cannabis Regulatory Commission

A recently appointed panel that will create the rules and regulations for the state’s newly legalized marijuana industry is coming under fire from New Jersey’s chapter of the NAACP. The organization objects to the fact that none of the five chosen members of the Cannabis Regulatory Commission are connected to groups that fight for social justice or represent those most affected by low-level marijuana arrests: Black men.
