Murphy nominates a new government watchdog

The governor has appointed Kevin Walsh to the position of comptroller. If confirmed, Walsh would have financial oversight of state agencies and authorities and would be able to conduct audits and investigations. Walsh has been serving as executive director of the Fair Share Housing Center.

New Jersey companies continued to add jobs in December. New labor market numbers show 6,500 new jobs were created last month.
