More than 3.5 million ballots have already been returned by mail or drop box in New Jersey, and there has been record voter participation for what many are calling the most consequential election in a lifetime.
On Tuesday, more than 1,800 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in New Jersey. The coronavirus has changed typical get-out-the vote tactics, with efforts focused on reaching voters through virtual phones banks and Facebook live events. That’s where Gov. Phil Murphy spent some of the final hours of Election Day in an all-out blitz for local, state and federal candidates. Correspondent Joanna Gagis spoke with some voters who didn’t feel quite right without showing up to the polls in person. What did they find once they got there?
