Malinowski’s lead over Kean shrinks in 7th District race

Despite being the projected winner on election night, Democratic incumbent has seen his lead dwindle as the counting has continued

At the end of election night, U.S. Rep. Tom Malinowski was the declared winner in the 7th Congressional District race against Republican challenger, state Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean Jr. The margin was more than 28,000 votes. But, as the vote counting has continued, Malinowski’s lead has shrunk to less than 10,000 votes.
