With a second surge in COVID-19 infections building in New Jersey, there is deep concern about patients and staff at long-term care facilities where almost 7,000 elderly, vulnerable residents died this spring. New Jersey’s congressional delegation sent a letter to state health officials asking how they plan to avoid another COVID-19 crisis at such facilities.
