In State of the State, Gov. Murphy will tout wins, acknowledge remaining challenges

The annual address will be pre-recorded and delivered virtually

You can expect Gov. Phil Murphy to make mention of the fallout in Washington as he delivers an unprecedented pre-recorded and virtual State of the State address Tuesday. It’s being given during one of the most challenging times for the state and nation.

Murphy will be able to tout a number of accomplishments from his first term. But one major policy item remains unfinished: a deal to decriminalize and legalize adult-use marijuana. The legislation, a key piece of his original election platform, fell apart late Friday as Murphy gears up to campaign for another term. Senior Correspondent David Cruz reports.
