Hoboken pastor Phil Rizzo enters the race for GOP gubernatorial nomination

Competition is ramping up in New Jersey’s governor’s race. This week Phil Rizzo, a pastor at a conservative church in Hoboken, tossed his hat in the ring. The political newcomer hopes to clinch the Republican nomination and challenge Gov. Phil Murphy in the fall.

Rizzo, who spent most of his career working with his family in real estate and construction, would bring a far-right, anti-establishment voice to the race. He went on the record with our Chief Political Correspondent Michael Aron.
