State and federal data shows women are among the fastest-growing group of people being incarcerated. They’re also more likely to suffer from abuse, trauma, and substance addiction once they’re released.

The New Jersey Reentry Corporation this week is launching a new program called The Women’s Project, connecting female ex-prisoners with better services and employment options. As Correspondent Joanna Gagis reports, it takes a different approach to reentry.
