HBO mentorship program aims to inspire the next generation of filmmakers

For the first time in New Jersey, HBO is bringing a mentorship program to the media students at West New York’s Memorial High School. The program, run in partnership with educational film and media nonprofit LPZ Cinetech, targets predominantly minority communities to give underrepresented voices a platform.

Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez and the town’s board of commissioners funded the program as a way to get students involved in visual media.
