Gloomy start to weekend doesn’t dent business optimism at the Shore

It was the first weekend people could ditch their masks and enjoy the sun on their faces. Mother Nature had other plans

With most COVID-19-relataed restrictions lifted, Shore towns prepared for crowds, but rainy weather put paid to hopes of a banner weekend. Still, hopes are high for a record summer. Many who made it to the Shore went without masks — expressing varying levels of comfort.
