White House officials are reporting the president is experiencing mild symptoms

In a stunning announcement through Twitter, President Donald Trump revealed he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus. The news came just hours after it was discovered the president’s top aide, Hope Hicks, had contracted the virus.

The president and first lady are under quarantine, but his exact condition is unclear at this time. White House officials are reporting the president is experiencing mild symptoms. His schedule and all future travel have been postponed for the foreseeable future, sidelining him from the campaign just 32 days from the election.

Among the president’s recent travels: Cleveland for the debate Tuesday; Minnesota, Wednesday and a fundraiser Thursday at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey.
