Family doctors want to give COVID-19 vaccinations

By Tuesday, more than 2.1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered in New Jersey, but some health experts say that number could be higher if the state gave family doctors access to the vaccine.

Dr. Thomas Ortiz, Medical Director for the Forest Hill Family Health Associates in Newark, said he is frustrated that family providers weren’t included in the rollout to help vaccinate the state’s most vulnerable groups. Correspondent Raven Santana has the story.
