State health leaders say it’s still too early to know if there will be a spike in COVID-19 infections from holiday parties because we’re not yet outside the 14-day incubation period for those New Year’s Eve gatherings. But daily case counts and fatality totals show numbers are up, and it’s likely hospitalizations will lag.
Still, Wednesday, the state’s former epidemiologist Dr. Eddy Bresnitz said he’s encouraged by a flattening in the curve that began late September. Some local health departments have taken matters into their own hands to stave off a post-holiday rush. Senior Correspondent Brenda Flanagan reports.
