From the first Motor Vehicle Commission closure back in July to the recent run of MVC center shutdowns due to staffers testing positive for COVID-19, more than 100 agency workdays have been lost. Most closures have occurred in October as the number of coronavirus cases climb statewide. And that means long lines and backlogged business at agencies that remain open.

During the pandemic, a lot of routine MVC transactions have been moved online and deadlines extended. Senior Correspondent Brenda Flanagan reports.
