Colleges and students gear up for spring semester

Most colleges and universities are offering a hybrid model of learning this spring

The end of the year means the start of a spring semester for colleges and universities. The plans for returning make up a patchwork of guidelines across the state, with most institutions offering a hybrid model of learning this spring and requiring students to present a negative COVID-19 test before returning to live on campus.

Some are requiring students to remain on campus for the entire semester in a “bubble,” while others are creating social pods to reduce the spread of the disease. Correspondent Joanna Gagis reports on the classes in 2021 that could look a lot like those in 2020.
