Chief Innovation Officer discusses ‘peak’ and predictive modeling

Gov. Phil Murphy says the state’s best chance at fighting the coronavirus outbreak will be through a “data driven approach.” That means using predictive modeling to help leaders understand the best and worst case scenarios.

Right now, modeling shows the height of the outbreak hitting New Jersey sometime between April 19 and May 11. But the data is constantly changing, so what can these models tell us about whether efforts to flatten the curve are working?

Senior Correspondent Briana Vannozzi spoke with New Jersey’s Chief Innovation Officer Beth Simone Noveck, the person behind all the numbers.
