Reports show that once the coronavirus pandemic hit, underserved communities struggled to get access to the social benefits programs they rely on to survive. At the Fulfill food bank of Monmouth and Ocean counties, workers say it became increasingly clear they would need to change course. Rather than wait for clients to show up on site, the food bank hit the road and created the first-in-the-nation COVID-19-safe benefits station on wheels. Correspondent Leah Mishkin has the story.
