Assemblywoman Vainieri Huttle discusses tough upcoming Senate race

It’s been a crazy few weeks of politics for two former Bergen County running mates, Assembly members Gordon Johnson and Valerie Vainieri Huttle, who are vying to fill the vacancy caused by the upcoming retirement of state Sen. Loretta Weinberg.

Most of the Democratic Party establishment is endorsing Johnson’s bid. And this week, Weinberg and Gov. Phil Murphy delivered what many pundits consider a decisive blow in the race, throwing their support behind Johnson. Assemblywoman Vainieri Huttle discusses the race.
