NJ Spotlight News | October 23, 2020 | Education
See what virtual learning is like for 10th grade AP history students in Newark

The live part of the American Cities Rebuilding virtual conference has ended, but NJ Spotlight News will continue to post recordings of its discussions and films in the coming days and weeks. The conference — held Oct. 15-16 and hosted by WNET, NJTV and NJ Spotlight News — examined how cities in New Jersey and nationwide are faring during the COVID-19 pandemic and at a time of social unrest.

In this segment, NJ Spotlight News founding editor John Mooney “Zoom bombs” the AP history class at KIPP Lab High School in Newark. He sits in on a lesson with teacher Jo’Nella Cabrera and KIPP director Joanna Belcher and talks with their students about this new period of online instruction.
