City of Newark, Prudential work together to improve city

The live part of the American Cities Rebuilding virtual conference is over, but NJ Spotlight News will continue to post recordings of its discussions and films in the coming days and weeks. The conference — held Oct. 15-16 and hosted by WNET, NJTV and NJ Spotlight News — examined how cities in New Jersey and nationwide are faring during the COVID-19 pandemic and at a time of social unrest.

In this segment, Lata Reddy, Prudential Financial senior vice president of inclusive solutions and chair of The Prudential Foundation, joins Newark Mayor Ras Baraka for a discussion on the lessons of public-private partnerships in our cities. It was moderated by Michael Hill, NJ Spotlight News correspondent and anchor.
