American Cities Rebuilding: How to reverse the course on economy in crisis

NJ Spotlight News | October 23, 2020 | Business

The live part of the American Cities Rebuilding virtual conference has ended, but NJ Spotlight News will continue to post recordings of its discussions and films in the coming days and weeks. The conference — held Oct. 15-16 and hosted by WNET, NJTV and NJ Spotlight News — examined how cities in New Jersey and nationwide are faring during the COVID-19 pandemic and at a time of social unrest.

In this panel discussion, PBS NewsHour Weekend Anchor Hari Sreenivasan leads a talk about jobs and entrepreneurship in our cities with Alfa Demmellash, the CEO and co-founder of Rising Tide Capital; Roy Weathers, PwC vice chair and societal engagement and solutions leader; and Ebony Thomas, senior vice president of ESG and racial equality and economic opportunity executive for Bank of America.
